About the Center for Health Integration
![]() |
The Center for Health Integration (Chi) is a unique partnership of experienced licensed health-care professionals utilizing innovative bodywork approaches to complement personal health and fitness goals and facilitate life transitions.
Services include traditional massage and bodywork therapies as well as
cutting-edge techniques that release the sources of pain, disease, or trauma
rather than treat symptoms only. Emphasizing integrative therapies from
eastern and western modalities, the mission of the Center is to facilitate
healing for the individual, family and community through a holistic approach
that engages mind, body and spirit.

The Center for Health Integration was founded by Arlene Frederick, Ed.D, RN, LMBT and Pamila Lorentz, MSW, BSN, RN, LMBT in 2002 out of their passion to increase options for holistic care through commitment to continuing education, research, and integrity of service. They apply advanced knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, dialogue and therapeutic exercise to facilitate achievement of specific personal health goals set by the client in a safe and supportive environment. Services are provided for all ages, from infants to senior.
Chi therapies are specially designed to support mind, body and spirit. Our tools are open hands and compassionate hearts. We measure our success by the degree to which the client experiences progress on the journey toward optimal health and well-being and peace of mind.

Services offered
THE MIND
The ancient art of massage therapy has long been known as an excellent way to find relief from mental as well as physical stress. Skilled compassionate touch stimulates the release of endorphins, natural chemicals within the brain that communicate a sense of well-being.
THE BODY
Manual therapies and bodywork
are a proven and effective adjunct to traditional health care. Chi therapists identify and treat the
actual causes of pain, dysfunction or performance limitations by engaging in
a dialogue with the physical and emotional aspects of the client.
THE SPIRIT
Therapies for the spirit include bio-energy field modalities. Subtle life energy that is blocked, stagnant, or chaotic is cleared through light touch and enhanced breathwork. Profound relaxation and stimulation of healing is achieved through enhancing the free flow and balance of the body's natural energy.
